Conveyed via regular pump down operations, the plug can be set with conventional Baker style or equivalent setting tools. Once set, an integrated lock securely connects the cone to the slip connection eliminating the risk of parting during operations.
A dissolvable ball is pumped into place and seals in an integral ball seat within the tool completing isolation from previously stimulated stages below. Forward thinking design has maximized the minimum ID of the tool, eliminating the need for immediate mill out operations.
ENGINEERED LOAD TRANSFER
The patent pending design utilizes the casing as a supporting member, transferring the load from the ball to the ball seat, through the slips and onto the casing itself. Pressure exerted on the ball during stimulation operations actually completes the setting operation and then continues to reinforce the integrity of the tool’s seal, forming a tighter seal as pressure is increased. The tool weighs less than 3lbs and contains ¼ the material of standard pump down plugs. It is the load transfer technology that allows the minimalistic design to be feasible.
